How do you get book sales? Marketing. It’s as simple and as complicated as that. Authors spend an average of 7.5 hours per week marketing and promoting their self published book, according to a recent survey by The Author's Guild.
If you’re like most writers, you probably just want to write and not spend time on getting your social media channels right or making sure your website is perfect. You probably don’t even know where to start or where your time is best spent to help increase book sales and formulate your author brand.
A complete author digital marketing strategy will help you:
· know where to start
· enhance your existing marketing platforms
· use your skills as a writer to invest in marketing
· tidy up and cement your author branding.
Your digital marketing strategy is a 10-20 page document that covers an audit of your existing digital marketing channels and provides you with strong, practical recommendations of marketing activities that will help meet your objectives (often, book sales). It covers areas such as SEO and keyword research, competitor analysis, social media marketing, website audit, branding, outreach and more. It will also provide helpful suggestions of marketing activities and promotional events that will bolster your marketing objectives.

What you’ll need to get your own customised digital marketing strategy:
· at least one digital platform live (Facebook, Instagram, website or similar)
· some writing work that encapsulates your brand
· an idea of your objectives/end goals.
Because it’s better to have your website live sooner rather than later, these aren’t deal breakers and we can still get started on your author digital marketing strategy.
Whilst it doesn’t include the implementation of the marketing activities, you are welcome to seek a quote at any point in time. By implementing the activities and recommendations suggested in your personalised marketing strategy, you will start to see a difference as you move towards your objectives.

Your strategy will be delivered in a pdf document via email within four to six weeks (often sooner), providing you have paid upfront and supplied the details required. This price is limited to one brand (author name) only. Please contact me if you have multiple brands/author names/pen names.
